Shakib-Nurule Bangladesh fight

At the beginning of the session, Bangladesh lost the innings. After losing 4 wickets in the previous session, 4 more were left, two fairly new batsmen at the crease, West Indies needed 46 runs to bat again. Shakib Al Hasan and Nurul Hasan then formed the highest run-scoring pair in the match, which at one time turned into the first hundred-run pair of the match. The duo took Bangladesh to the lead in the second innings. Courtesy of the two Antigua Test saw the first time without a wicket session.

During the tea break on the third day of the Antigua Test, Bangladesh scored 210 runs for the loss of 8 wickets with a lead of 46 runs. In the second session, Bangladesh scored 95 runs and scored more than 3.50 runs per over. The West Indies are still the 'favorites' in this Test, but Shakib and Nurul are definitely disappointing them. Shakib went to the break from unbeaten 53 runs, Nurul needs 1 run to get a half century.

The beginning of the session, however, was shaky Shakib. The West Indies reviewed Kyle Myers' ball in the second over after the break, but the impact was out. Shakib could have been caught-behind if he had taken the review in the over. In that over, Shakib hit four fours in cover drive in Myers' overpitch delivery, then the boundary kept coming regularly. Then Shakib hit Roach four times. Nurul and he also attacked Jayden Sills, spinner Gurakesh Moti. After the lunch break, 10 boundaries came in 16.3 overs. Bangladesh got a four-wicket lead over Nurul by beating Sils at the end of the 72nd over.

Nurul also got a touch of luck in the innings. In the 59th over, Myers hit two balls in a row to the edge of his bat. If he was behind, he would have made an easy catch to the wicketkeeper. The Windies later reviewed Ramon Referee, who was bowling for the first time, again against Nurul, although the ball fell fine outside the leg stump. With that, the hosts spent 3 reviews, none of them were successful.

However, the Shakib-Nurul pair overcame all the first pair of Bangladesh in the first match. Then in the match they became the highest pair between the two teams. Shakib completed his half century with a single off Ramon Referee. This is the second Bangladesh captain in the match and the third 50 in a row in the Test. This time he needs 72 balls to reach the milestone. In the single taken by Shakib in the 8th over, his pairing with Nurul touched 100, which is the first between the two teams in the match.

However, Shakib's discomfort came during the session. Sometimes he has to be at the door of a physio. The Bangladesh captain was also seen stretching while batting.

Earlier, Bangladesh lost the wickets of Nazmul Hasan, Muminul Haque, Liton Das and Mahmudul Hasan in the first session. Kyle Myers and Kemar Roach took two wickets each.
