Wimbledon 2022 draw: Djokovic and Nadal kept apart until the final

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will only be able to rekindle the next episode of their rivalry, one of the most legendary in the history of sport, in the Wimbledon final.

The Spaniard has been selected as the number two seed for the tournament, meaning he's on the opposite side of the draw to the Serbian, who is the defending champion of the tournament and top seed by ranking after the withdrawals of Daniil Medvedev, due to exclusion, and Alexander Zverev, due to injury.

Wimbledon announced how the 32 seeded players will be ordered, with the other top positions occupied by Casper Ruud at third, Stefanos Tsitsipas at number four, Carlos Alcaraz at five and Matteo Berretini, a finalist at Wimbledon and double champion at Queen's, as the eighth seed.

The next thing to look forward to will be the draw and their exact routes to the final.
