Shakib took leave again; Not staying in the preparation match!

Bangladesh will play a three-day warm-up match in Antigua from Friday. But the newly elected Test captain Shakib Al Hasan has not yet joined the team. Without him, Bangladesh is going to play this preparation match. Shakib, who is in the United States, was supposed to go to the Caribbean today to join the team, but that is not happening.
It is learned that Shakib had taken a few days off from BCB chief Nazmul Hasan Papon. At the end of the Sri Lanka series, he went to Singapore for a body checkup. From there he was to go to the United States. But Shakib returned to the country. After a few days, he left for the United States without telling anyone. Though Shakib is scheduled to join the team today after spending time with his family in the United States, he will join on June 11. Playing this warm-up match against the West Indies President's XI, Shakib could have spread his ideas as a captain. But that is not happening. The first match of the two-Test series will start on June 16 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. The second Test of the series begins on June 24 at the Darren Sammy Stadium in St. Lucia. After that, the two teams will play three T20 and one ODI respectively.
