Mitchell rejoices, Mitchell despairs

Played a great innings of 190 runs. Because of him, New Zealand got a huge score of five hundred and fifty. But is Daryl Mitchell still getting so much satisfaction at the end of the day? He is responsible for the fact that the second day of the Trent Bridge Test was not entirely New Zealand's. England scored 90 for 1 at the end of the second day in reply to New Zealand's 553 runs. Unbeaten opener Alex Liss for 34 runs.

Oli Pope, who came down in three, has been seen in his fifties (51 *). But Mitchell, who is in the first slip, has caught both of them. After 316 runs on the first day, 325 runs came on the second day. 6 runs more but three more wickets. However, only 1 wicket was seen in the first two sessions of the day. Mitchell, who was unbeaten on 61 the previous day, reached three figures off 164 balls, while Blandell's century, which started the day at 7, was 191. Mitchell's 236-run stand was broken when the ball was bowled out by Litch before the lunch break, followed by a 91-run stand with Michael Bracewell for the sixth wicket. Tea break in the rain, then Bracewell out for 49 runs. Then the England bowlers found the ground under their feet. The scorecard which showed 496 runs for 5 wickets a little earlier also showed 520 runs for 9 wickets a little later. Mitchell led the team to five-and-a-half runs in a 33-run stand with Bolt for the tenth wicket. Bolt was unbeaten on 16 runs. In this, Bolt is sitting next to Muralitharan in the record of highest run after 11 or so. Muralitharan's 623 runs came in 96 innings. Bolt got it down 8 times at 11. Bolt forced Jack Crawley to catch behind the wicket with his sixth ball. Alex Lees and Oli Pope added 74 runs in the remaining 24 overs. The story of the beginning and middle of the day is only Mitchell's. Mitchell made 190 off 318 balls with 23 fours and 4 sixes. Of course, Tom Blandell can be upset if he just talks about it. The wicketkeeper, who was out in the Nervous Nineties in the first Test, scored 108 runs today.
