England vs New Zealand, 2nd Test, Day 1 Highlights: Daryl Mitchell, Tom Blundell Take New Zealand To 318/4 At Stumps

 ENG vs NZ, 2nd Test, Day 1 Highlights: Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell were the standout performers as New Zealand ended Day 1 of the ongoing second Test at 318/4 against England at Trent Bridge. 





Mitchell and Blundell are currently unbeaten on 81 and 67 respectively. New Zealand were 169/4 at one stage, but both batters put on an unbeaten stand of 149 runs to give New Zealand the honours on Day 1. Earlier, Earlier, Ben Stokes had ended the 77-run stand between Devon Conway and Henry Nicholls as he dismissed Nicholls. The left-hander departed after scoring 30. Soon after, James Anderson removed Devon Conway and New Zealand lost four wickets inside 42 overs. Earlier, Tom Latham and Will Young provided an excellent start to New Zealand after the visitors were asked to bat first by England in the ongoing second Test at Trent Bridge. The duo put on 84 runs and the partnership was finally broken by Ben Stokes as he dismissed Young for 47. In the very next over, James Anderson removed Tom Lathan and New Zealand's innings was pegged back. Earlier, England won the toss and elected to bowl against New Zealand.
