Bangladesh got the goal after 206 days

Not one or two months, Bangladesh football team did not see any goal in international football for about 6 months and 25 days, which is about 206 days. Jamal Bhuiyan failed to score in the first four matches under Spanish coach Javier Cabrera. Cabrera's team has finally ended that wait.

Bangladesh scored a goal against Turkmenistan in the Asian Cup qualifiers at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur today.

However, Jamal Bhuiyan lost the match 1-2. The only goal was scored by winger Mohammad Ibrahim. Bangladesh was able to score a goal against Sri Lanka in the last four-nation football tournament held in Sri Lanka last November. Bangladesh also lost that match 1-2.

Since November 2021, Bangladesh has played five matches this year, failing to score in all four of them. After a 2-0 defeat to Maldives on 24 March, they drew 0-0 with Mongolia at home on 29 March. They were then held to a goalless draw on Indonesian soil this June. And in the first match of the Asian Cup qualifiers could not open the mouth of the goal. They lost to Bahrain 2-0.
